Does Munis store information about journals deleted from proof?

Context

Proof program examples:

  • General Journal Entry/Proof
  • Budget Transfers & Amendments
  • Encumbrance Journal Entry/Proof
  • Accounting Entries
Cause

Munis stores unused journal numbers and proof reports (if saved)

Resolution

Information about journal(s) deleted from proof can be found if:

  • The proof report was saved to the spool directory
  • The journal or proof report exists in a non-Live environment
  • The proof report was saved locally or elsewhere

Unused journal numbers can be found here:

Financials > General Ledger Menu > Set Up/Chart Of Accounts > Miscellaneous Setup > Journal Number Control

  1. Click Search
  2. Enter [Year] in Fiscal year field
  3. Accept
  4. Unused Journals
Additional Information

To check if proof report was saved to the spool directory:

Departmental Functions > Saved Reports

  1. Search
  2. Enter [Date] in Date field
  3. Accept
