Year End Close - Shutting down applications

Is it required to shut down ESS, HR/Payroll modules, EAM, VSS and/or the Fieldsheet app for Yearend close?

• Fiscal Year End Processing (Close Current Fiscal Year, Open New Fiscal Year)

• Vendor Self Service (VSS)

• Employee Self Service (ESS)

Concern about close year and documentation or support indicating everyone must be out of system while close is processed.

Any program that does not impact the general ledger can remain up and working as normal

Users need to be logged out of all programs that can allocate a debit or credit amount to a general ledger account this includes entry, change order, maintenance programs.
