Context

Cause
- The maximum number of files (9999) for the program have been saved in the spool directory
- New files cannot be saved until some or all of the old files have been removed to make room for new ones
Resolution
These report files can be mass deleted from within Enterprise ERP or can be manually deleted or archived on the server.
Mass Delete Option from Enterprise ERP:
- From the Enterprise ERP Menu, navigate to System Administration > Printer / Device Administration > Saved Reports
- Click Search
- In the Report File Name field, enter the program name mentioned in the error message (usually an 8-letter string) followed by an asterisk
- Ex: wmmstmnt*
- Click Accept
- Click Mass Delete Reports
- Click Select All
- Click Accept
- In the Confirm Purge pop-up window, click Yes, Purge
Manual Delete or Archive Option within the server and Enterprise ERP Administration
- If you are a SaaS hosted client and would like to have the files archived, contact Tyler Systems Management SaaS Support or log a case via the Online Support Client Portal
- If you are a self-hosted client, locate the musys\spool directory on your EERP Application server
- Usually located on the main drive. Ex: D:\musys\spool_prod or D:\musys\spool_live
- Spool file location can be found under Diagnostic Utility and Run-Time Information → System tab
- The specific files needing to be removed or archived generally have the program name mentioned in the error message (usually an 8-letter string)
- Ex: wmmstmnt
- To Archive the files
- Create a new folder as an archive location
- Select all the applicable files for the program name
- Right-click and select Move to move the files to this new site-named folder
- To Delete the files
- Select all the applicable files for the program name above
- Right-click and select Delete to remove all files in the original folder
- From the Enterprise ERP Menu, navigate to System Administration > Printer / Device Administration > Saved Reports
- Click Reset Spool Directory which will command Enterprise ERP to sync with the directory where the files were just deleted or archived
