How to reset Bid Number

Description of Issue

How do users reset the Next Available Bid number after a series of numbers were skipped?

Context

Bid Management 

Cause

A series of bid numbers were skipped 

Resolution
  1. Navigate to Bid Settings (EERP> Financials> Purchasing>Bid Management> Bid Settings) 

  2. Select Update 

  3. Click OK on the warning message

    1. This message is informational and meant to inform users that changes to Bid Settings should be completed when all users are out of the system

  4. Enter the Bid Number that was skipped in the Next bid number field

  5. Click Accept

Please note: The system will generate an error when it reaches a Bid number that has already been assigned. Once the Bid numbers that were originally skipped are used, the user will have to update the next Bid number to one that hasn't been used
