How can the next asset number that the system assigns to an asset be changed?

Resolution

  1. Within Capital Assets > Set Up > Capital Asset Settings, click Update

  2. Change the Last sequential asset number to be one number before the next asset number desired

    1. For example, Last sequential asset number is set to 1999, the system will assign the asset number 2000 when creating the next asset record

  3. Click Accept
