Description of Issue
How to install and set up APG USB cash drawer to be used with Cashiering.
The USB cash drawer uses a USB cable with type A and type B ends, and is connected directly to the workstation, not to the printer.

APG USB Cash Drawer
- Connect cash drawer to workstation
- Download APG OPOS QFUSB ADK v1211 found here: https://cashdrawer.sharefile.com/share/view/s8292426c31344c3a/focf53b8-8e2a-4dfb-af82-848d508fe786
- Unzip folder APG OPOS QFUSB ADK v1211.zip
- Navigate to APG OPOS QFUSB ADK v1211\APG OPOS QFUSB ADK v1211\install files\
- Double click setup.exe
- Click Next and select defaults for install
- After installation, navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\APG Cash Drawer\OPOS and run APGOPOSQFUSBUtility.exe
- Click Open Device then click Open Drawer to verify hardware is connected and drawer opens
- Slowly click the APG OPOS LDN text box twice
- Rename the LDN to Multi_AU
- Retest the drawer: Open Device, Open Drawer
- If you cannot open the device in the utility, try running the setup again and repairing the install.
- Close when done
Hardware Console
- If the Cashiering Hardware Console is already running, close and restart the Hardware Console: How to Restart Cashiering Hardware Console
- Open Hardware Console from system tray or from Cashiering 9-box menu
- Click the pencil and add the cash drawer
- Cash Drawer: Cash Drawer (USB)
- Controller: Standalone (USB)
- Click Save
- Click Re-initialize
- Exit the Hardware Console (do not exit the service from the system tray)
- Reinitialize the Hardware Console from system tray
- Refresh the Cashiering page
- Test cash drawer operation with drawer-open button in top left corner
- Note: Settings could restrict the drawer-open button from appearing
