Description of Issue

How do I clear the cache in Firefox?

Context

Cause

Cached website items may interfere with various processes.

Resolution

Windows

  1. Firefox should be the active window.
  2. Press ALT on the keyboard activate the window menu in Firefox.
  3. Click History in the menu bar > click Clear Recently History... from dropdown list.
  4. In the Clear Recent History popup you will be able to define the time range wanted for cache deletion.
    • Last Hour, Last Two Hours, Last Four Hours, Today, or Everything.
  5. To delete all cached data, select Everything from the drop-down menu.
  6. Click the checkbox next to Cache to delete only the cache data.
  7. Ensure to uncheck any boxes for items not wanting to be purged (this cannot be undone).
  8. Click OK.
  9. Reload the website.

macOS

  1. Firefox should be the active window.
