Description of Issue

I get an error trying to reset the master password or rebuild the TCM cache in TylerCM for Munis Settings:
Unable to update TylerCM master settings. Failed to update content management configuration in Munis (update 2065).

Context
  • Munis
  • EERP
  • CM
  • Content Manager
  • Master password
  • Rebuild TCM Cache
  • TSM On Premise
  • TSM SaaS
Cause

contentmanagementconfiguration.xml file has become invalid (located at <MunDrive>:\musys\appstorage_<env>\contentmanagementconfiguration.xml; this is the flat file that contains the TCM settings for Munis)

Resolution

For Self Hosted TCM Clients:

  1. Navigate to the musys\appstorage directory of the environment (Example: E:\musys\appstorage_prod\contentmanagementconfiguration.xml)
  2. Change the name of that file or delete it (it is HIGHLY recommended to either copy down the existing TylerCM for Munis Settings configuration or screenshot it before doing this), this will remove the existing TylerCM for Munis Settings
  3. In Munis, go to System Administration>General Administration>TylerCM for Munis Settings, if you have changed the name of the file in step 2, there will be no configuration present
  4. Input the correct configuration taken from the screenshot or file containing the correct TCM URL and additional settings (you may get prompted that it is unable to connect, this is normal)
  5. Close TylerCM for Munis Settings and re-open to confirm that the TCM version is present
  6. Reset the master password and rebuild the cache: How to Reset Master Password and Rebuild TCM Caches

For Tyler Hosted clients, or If this doesn't correct the issue, please contact Tyler Systems Management at 800-772-2260 ext. 3851
