Current Payroll Fiscal Year control setting

Is the Current Payroll Fiscal Year Payroll Control Setting informational?

• The Current Payroll Fiscal Year controls which set of Calendar records are active.
• Each calendar record is tied to a defined fiscal year. In order for that calendar to be active, that given fiscal year must be defined on this Payroll Control Setting.

To view and/or edit this setting:

1. Go to Payroll>Payroll Setup>Payroll Control Settings
2. Click on the line for Category and Label General-Current Payroll Fiscal Year. Click Accept. 
3. To update, click Update and change the Value to the correct year. Click Accept. 

A site would update the Current Payroll Fiscal Year setting after finishing the final payroll for the prior fiscal year.
