What is required for a scanner to be compatible with TCM scanning?

What are the Content Manager scanner requirements?

Context
  • Munis
  • ERP Enterprise
  • Tyler Content Manager
  • Content Manager
  • TCM
  • CM
  • Scanning
  • TWAIN Driver
Cause

Seeking scanner requirements to be used with TCM.

Resolution
  • The most basic requirement of Content Manager is that it requires 32-bit or 64-bit TWAIN compatible scanners to scan directly into the application
  • While we cannot guarantee all scanners’ compatibility, most TWAIN compatible scanners work with TCM

Windows Scanning
Web Client – Integrated Viewer and Content Capture

  • The web browser-based client can be used to scan on Windows with a 32-bit or 64-bit TWAIN compatible scanner, and a web browser compatible with the Dynamsoft Dynamic Web TWAIN browser plugin.

Full Client (Java Client)

  • The full client can be used to scan on Windows with a 32-bit or 64-bit TWAIN compatible scanner.

Mac Scanning
Web Client – Integrated Viewer and Content Capture

  • The web browser-based client can be used to scan on Macs with some TWAIN compatible scanners and a web browser compatible with the Dynamsoft Dynamic Web TWAIN browser plugin.

Full Client (Java Client)

  • The full client cannot be used to scan on a Mac. This is true for hosted and on-premise clients.
