Description of Issue

Our Octopus folder is continuing to grow and is limiting available space on our drive

Can the files in (drive letter):\Octopus\Files\ be deleted?

Cause

Deployment packages are saved to this folder whenever a deployment is run

Resolution

These files can safely be removed after a deployment has installed successfully. However, if you remove the packages from (drive letter):\Octopus\Files\, Octopus Deploy has to download the full packages when you take the next release.  If you leave the files there, Octopus does not have to transfer full packages on your next update.
