Description of Issue
Getting error message MUERROR: The general ledger effective date is not valid. This needs to be corrected in order to post payments when trying to process payment.

Cause
- The General Ledger default period is not set to the current period under Financials>General Ledger Menu>Set Up/Chart of Accounts>General Ledger Settings and user only having the ability to post in the current period.
- Journal Number Control was not copied over to the new fiscal year.
Resolution
- Update the General Ledger default period to be the current period. This can be verified under Financials>General Ledger Menu>Miscellaneous Set Up > Journal Number Control. Once the default period is updated the pending Tyler Cashiering payment can be resubmitted.
- If there are no values listed in Journal Number Control for the current fiscal year, it will need to be copied.
