There are many possible causes for this issue. Most commonly, all or some of the bills are incorrect and the process needs to be reversed so that the bill or bills can be corrected.
Resolution
- Navigate to the Create Preliminary Taxes program either by searching or via the following path: Property Revenues > Property Tax Billing > Region > State > Assessor Processing and Reports > Preliminary Taxes > Create Preliminary Taxes
- Click Reverse.
- Enter the Password (The password is the logged in User ID. This is different than username and not an email. If assistance is needed in determining what the User ID is, please see: Determine a User ID).
- Click OK.
- Select an AR category (20 Real Estate or 25 - Personal Property).
- Click Accept.
- A message will appear asking: Are you sure you would like to reverse the Create Preliminary Tax Update. Reversing will set the process status back to 1 for real estate or personal property (depending on what was selected in step 5). This will allow you to make changes to the preliminary tax amounts.
- Click Yes, Continue to continue with the reversal, or click No to cancel.

- Create Preliminary Taxes only needs to be reversed if the Tax Update step has been run. Otherwise, the Generate can be re-run as needed.
