Resolution

Maryland Tax Billing Homestead Credit is calculated on the fly, based on the difference between the Assessment Type amount (whether that be County, State, and/or Municipal Assessment) and the Total Assessment amount, multiplied by the individual charge code rate.

Homestead Credit can be modified either through the Tax Bills program or by processing an Annual/Subsequent bill run. Bill runs can be initiated either by the Imported Parcels or Import State Data programs. Note, that there are a series of additional programs that are required with a full bill run, including the Create Accounts Receivables program, before Bills will reflect any changes.
