Description of Issue
Trying to print checks and am receiving a locking error.
Payroll Check Printing Locked
Check Printing is locked by another user. This means that in another payroll checks are currently being run or the last check run failed to clear.
The locking payroll is Run Type 1 T/S P/R Warrant 113019
If the other payroll should not be completed and/or no other payrolls are currently being run then this can be unlocked and you can continue printing checks.

Resolution
If user is unsure check printing is currently taking place:
- Go to Global Audit Inquiry. (Human Resources/Payroll>Payroll>Payroll Administration>Global Audit Inquiry)
- Click Search. Define warrant. Click Accept. Click Browse in the toolbar.
- Look for Payroll Checks Started
If it's been determined this lock can be cleared:
- Go to Payroll Control Settings. (Human Resources/Payroll>Payroll>Payroll Setup>Payroll Control Settings)
- Double click on setting for LOCKS - LOCK FOR CHECK PRINTING RUN: 1 line.
- Click Update. Remove the 1 in the Value field.
- This will also remove the value in the Control Setting, Lock for Check Printing Warrant: 113019.
Cause
Payroll Check Printing was inadvertently started in a completed payroll.
