How do you mass update Position Description in Position Control?

Position Control Import
Position Description can only be updated via the Position Control Import.
Navigate to Position Control
EERP > Human Capital Management > Human Resources > Position Control and Budgeting > Position Control
Search to establish an active set of all of the records to be updated
Click Excel in the banner to export the active set to Microsoft Excel
The fields to include in the export - Position, Position Description, and Effective Date
All other boxes can remain unchecked in the Export Filter
In the Excel spreadsheet, update the Position Description column
Save as a .csv file
Return to Position Control and click on Import in the top banner to access the Position Control Import
Click Custom Templates in the top banner
Select and Import Type of POSITION
Click New Template and define Template Layout, Name, File Delimiter, and Input File
The newly created Excel file will be used as a sample import file
The delimiter should be set to None
Click Upload
The columns on your Custom Template should match the fields exported to Excel
Return to Position Control Import
Click Define to define Import Parameters with the new Template and Excel file
Check Skip Fist Line if the first line in import file is a header line
Click Accept
Now the Position Description field is updated on all records in the active set
In Position Control Import, click Export Sample in the top banner to see all fields available for Import.
