How to create a new Fund

I need to create a new fund

• General Ledger
• Set up chart of account
• Fund Attributes

New Funds are needed for the new year

Financials > General Ledger Menu > Set up chart of accounts > Chart of account segment

1. Click Accept 
2. Click Add
3. Enter in the Description information
   1. Fund 
   2. Description
   3. Short Description
   4. Obligation date
4. Complete the Fund attributes section
   1. Multi-year fund
   2. Available budget method
   3. Requires project string on entry
   4. Standard fiscal year
   5. Fund type
   6. Revolving fund
   7. Pooled cash account
   8. CAFR Type Fund
   9. Secondary balancing level
5. Click Accept

After creating the Fund the next steps would be to:

1. Create Segments (if needed) 
2. Create Organization Codes 
3. Create Object Codes (if needed) 
4. Create Accounts
