Receipt printer models TM-U325, TM-U675, TM-H6000III and TM-H6000IV must be installed to a USB port. Network ports are not supported for receipt printing for these models.

Printer Installation

  1. Install the receipt printer to a USB port on the desired PC

  2. Open Devices and Printers in Control Panel

  3. Right click on the printer and select Printer properties

  4. Select the Sharing tab, check off Share this printer, and specify a share name

  5. Connect to the Application server with an administrative account

  6. In the Windows search bar, type run and hit enter

Create a Printer Definition

  1. Log into Munis with an account that has system administration permissions

  2. From the menu, navigate to System Administration > Printer/Device Administration > Printer Definitions

  3. Click Add

  4. Printer ID: enter desired value

  5. Printer name: enter desired value

  6. Printer type: select Command / script

  7. Print / forms command:  cat > \\hostname\sharename

  8. Leave all other fields as defaulted

Printer Validation Settings

  1. From the Munis menu, navigate to Accounts Receivable Settings

    1. (General Revenues > Accounts Receivable > Setup > Accounts Receivable Settings)

  2. Select the Payments tab

  3. Click Validator Settings

  • To create a new pairing between a printer and a validator type, click Add
  • Search by Printer Name or Printer IDEither value can be entered into either field and it will be correctly auto-filled in the correct place

    Value

    Printer ID

    Unique identifier for the printer. This box can accept up to four alphanumeric characters.

    Printer name

    Identifying name of printer. This box can be up to 15 alphanumeric characters.

    Printer type

    This box is the print command Munis will use to initiate a print job on the printer and is set to Command/script for Munis (non TylerForms) printing.
