To import cross reference accounts, Cross reference records can be added to existing accounts through Account Import. This functionality requires segments to exist in Chart of Account Segments. If the account record does not exist then the account will be created and x-reference record added, If the account already exists only the x-reference record will be added. 

Account x-reference records can be added though the Account Import program

. Go to: 

Financials> General Ledger

Menu> Set Up/ Chart of Accounts > Account Import

This process will work for both existing accounts as well as new accounts in the system. Make sure to update the headers for Columns A through G to match your site's Chart of Accounts. Use General Ledger Settings - Segment Sizes tab for the full listing.

1. Select Create Template 
2. Accept
   1. Ensure that all items are left checked, removing columns at any point will cause errors.
3. Fill in required information. 
   1. If the GL Account already exists, you will define only the fields noted below
      1. Org, Object Project OR account segments
      2. Cross Reference
4. Within Account Import, click Define
5. Use the Magnifying Glass to select your import file
6. Accept 
7. Import
