General Ledger Role permissions - Maintain a user's posting period range: - Navigate
to System Administration>Security>User Attributes>Search for the user in question and click Accept- to System Administration > Security > User Attributes
- Click Search.
- Enter the User ID of the user whose permissions need to be adjusted.
- Single click and highlight

Click - Click Edit Role

Click - Click General Ledger.
- Click Update.
- Select the desired number of periods in the Allow transactions in periods
beyond - prior to the default

- Select the desired number of periods

- Click Accept
General Ledger Settings - Verify Default Year/Period is current and correct: - IMPORTANT: Before changing anything in GL Settings, consult with your supervisor. Note: the Auto Update box indicates that the Default Year/Period is maintained automatically by a Scheduled job instead of maintained manually.
- Navigate to
Financials>General Ledger Menu>Set - Financials > General Ledger Menu > Set Up/Chart of
Accounts>General - Accounts > General Ledger Settings
- Verify the Default Year/Period are current and
correct - correct.
