Some of the control account lines Expense and Revenue control amounts are not included in the Totals at the bottom of the journal. This is the correct functionality. 'Journal totals'. Appropriation and Estimated Revenue amounts are not included in the 'Journal totals'. The Encumbrance control account is not included in the 'Journal totals'. If the control account lines were included in the Total Debits/Credits it would be overstating or understating the actual amount hitting the Expense, Revenue or Balance sheet accounts. |
