Some of the control account lines are not included in the Totals at the bottom of the journal. This is the correct functionality so the totals will not actually always match the total lines on the journal. If the control account lines were included in the Total Debits/Credits it would be overstating or understating the actual amount hitting the Expense, Revenue or Balance sheet accounts. |
