Generate XML data files for Utility Billing Bills

Request from Tyler Forms Design to assist customer in creating a data file for UB Bills in XML format
Resolution
To generate this file from a completed Bill Run use the following steps.
- Find a Bill or Bills that contain the information you want to display on your printed bills. Example: If you want to have credits,adjustments,past due balances, or payments display on your bills then select bills that would have that information.
- View that Bill in Bill Inquiry to get the Bill Run Type/Commitment information and note that along with the Account Number
- Navigate to Property Revenues>Utility Billing>Bill Processing>Bill Run Process
- Click Search.
- Enter the Bill Run Type and Commitment then click Accept
- Click Change
- Click Bill Print.
- Click Define.
- Enter Interest Date and Payment/Adjust Date that will reflect what you want to show on the bill.
- In the Reprint Accounts area enter the Account Number from Step 2 in both the Start and Stop fields.
- In the Print Options area select the Output Type of XML Export then click Accept
- Click Generate.
- Click Print Bills
- When the option to select Output Type appears click Save and then OK this is save the file in your Munis Spool Directory
- Navigate to Departmental Functions>My Saved Reports.
- Locate your file.
- Highlight the file, click Accept or double click the correct file, the web browser should download and produce the XML data file.
To generate this file from an in progress Bill Run complete the Bill Run as you normally would until you reach the Bill Print step.
- Click Bill Print.
- Click Define.
- Fill in any options you would as part of your Bill Print step
- In the Print Options area select the Output Type of XML Export then click Accept
- Click Generate.
- Click Print Bills
- When the option to select Output Type appears click Save and then OK this is save the file in your Munis Spool Directory
- Navigate to Departmental Functions>My Saved Reports.
- Locate your file.
- Highlight the file, click Accept or double click the correct file, the web browser should download and produce the XML data file.
