How to Use Deferment Applications in Virginia

How to create Deferment Bills in Virginia.

Deferment bills need to be created.

Before creating Deferment bills, site needs to make sure the Charge Codes are setup for Cat 21, and Tax Year Settings are also setup. 

Navigate to Hub > Property Revenues > Property Tax Billing > South > Virginia >Deferment Processing > Deferment Applications

1.  Click Add

2. Fill in the required information marked with a red *

   1. Tax Year

   2. AR category

   3. Property ID

   4. Bill Number

   5. Deferment code

   6. Status

3. Click Accept

4. Click on the Charges option from the ribbon 

5. Make sure the charges are correct 

6. Click Post Deferment 

The biggest difference in creating deferment bills from 11.3, is that this program abates the bills, so do not adjust/abate the bills before using this program.
