Context

Cause

An incorrect or old address is listed on a tax bill.

Resolution

For Northeast or States that Use Bill Adjustments (ME, MA, NH, NY, RI, VT):

If the Customer associated with the bill only has 1 delivery address, then simply update the address on the Customer record by following the steps outlined here: Change or Update a Customer Address
If the Customer associated with the bill has multiple delivery addresses, then follow the procedure outlined here: Change or update the address on a tax bill when the customer has multiple mailing addresses
To determine if a Customer has 1 or multiple delivery addresses, see: Determine the address number of an address for a customer with multiple active mailing addresses

For Southeast or States that Use Tax Corrections:

If the Customer associated with the bill only has 1 delivery address, then simply update the address on the Customer record by following the steps outlined here: Change or Update a Customer Address
