Budget Completion Journal - Invalid GL effective date

Receiving an error when attempting to Post the Budget Completion Journal.

Site loaded released code following 10/16/2023 and introduced MUN-422544 or the respective code for site version and it introduced this issue.

The work ticket purpose was to resolve posting issues with back to back BUC for sites with multiple projections.  There were instances of amounts not updating correctly across accounts

Hold off closing in the Live database until issue has been confirmed resolved in secondary database first.

1. Call Financial General Ledger Support and let them know what database error was received in
   • Support will diagnose the impact to your site and provide options to move forward.
2. Work ticket MUN-472034 has been opened with development as a priority 1 critical to address this error
   • This has moved forward to Quality Assurance final testing and should soon be ready for Release Management to roll out code update through Tyler Deploy
3. Once site is notified code fix available, load it in secondary database and test to ensure it is in fact corrected, if not log a new case with examples and reference old case
   • New cases are always needed for root cause analysis when code updates have been applied and issues continue

• Always test a year end close, open and posting of Budget Completion Journal in a secondary database with equal data and code as the Live production environment to  be sure an attempted Live close will have the same results
• Always make a backup of the Live database before attempting a close and schedule users out of the system so if something goes wrong and site needs to restore expectations can be set without too much confusion
