Munis Centrals Down After Updating SSL Certificates



Description of Issue

Centrals Programs don't open and show Server Error in '/MunisProd' Application. Runtime Error. or Server Error in '/prod/munis/munisnet' Application. Runtime Error. 

When opening centrals programs from the server, a more detailed error message shows: The remote certificate is invalid according to the validation procedure

Cause

Multiple web sites on one server are utilizing different SSL certificates. 



Resolution
  1. On the Munis Application server, open IIS

  2. Under Connections, select the server and expand Sites

  3. Right click Default Web Site and select Edit Bindings...

  4. Select the hostname on Port 443 and select Edit...

  5. Check the box for Require Server Name Indication and click OK
