Create a New Pay Code

How do I create a new pay code?



Context
  • Time and Attendance

  • Executime

  • Pay code



Cause

The client needs to add a new pay code in Time and Attendance. 



Resolution
  1. Select System Admin 

  2. Select Master File Management  

  3. Select Pay Codes → Select the ( +) icon 

  4. Fill out all the information as needed:

    1. Name → this needs to match what is in the payroll, the description does not have to match

    2. Benefit Settings-> will this pay code be accrued (hold a balance) or non accrued 

    3. Timecard Settings →will the pay code be regular, overtime, will the overtime be able to be transferred to comp time, just to mention a few

    4. Additional Settings →this governs where you will see the pay code, and other specific setting such as if TSA is allowed, etc.

  5. If security is needed select the ( +) icon under the "Defined Rules" section

  6. Select Save
