Duplicate social security number in Condensed Pending Master

Description of Issue

Upon hiring an applicant, site is receiving the following error in Condensed Pending Master, Duplicate Social Security Number Employee 12345 already exists with this SSN. Your control file settings do not allow duplicate SSNs. Do you want to review this employee?

Cause

  • An orphaned record exists in a SQL database table

  • Force quitting or improperly navigating away from the condensed Employee Master can inadvertently create orphaned Employee Master records

  • The personnel action to start the New Hire record was not properly closed out of



Resolution

Please reach out to EERP HR Support for further assistance, we can query the Employee Master table to determine if this orphaned record exists (then remove it if necessary)
