How do I import Terminated Date/Reason into Employee Master?

Can blank fields be used in the import file to remove inactive/terminated dates?

Cause

Resolution

If importing to Update the Terminated or Inactive Dates:

Build .CSV file (for 11.3) or .CSV or Excel file (2019.1 and higher) with the following columns
1. Employee Number
2. Terminated/Inactive Date
3. Terminated/Inactive Reason (if applicable)
  1. If Terminated and Inactive date/reason fields are both needed, they will need their own columns.
4. Action Flag (U for Update)
Access Payroll > Employee Maintenance > Employee Import
Click Define
1. Select Import Type of Employee Information Import
2. Select Form Definition (11.3) or Template (2019.1 and higher)
  1. Import Documentation in Additional Information below which contains information on creating the Form Definitions/Templates as well as processing the imports.
3. Select the .CSV or Excel File
Click Accept

There is no option to import blank fields to remove field values in Employee Master in versions 11.3 and 2019.1. This functionality does not exist until 2021.1
