Import Inactive and Terminated Date into Employee Master

How do I import Terminated Date/Reason into Employee Master?Â
Can blank fields be used in the import file to remove inactive/terminated dates?

Cause
Resolution
If importing to Update the Terminated or Inactive Dates:Â
- Build .CSV file (for 11.3) or .CSV or Excel file (2019.1 and higher) with the following columns
- Employee Number
- Terminated/Inactive Date
- Terminated/Inactive Reason (if applicable)Â
- If Terminated and Inactive date/reason fields are both needed, they will need their own columns.
- Action Flag (U for Update)
- Access Payroll > Employee Maintenance > Employee Import
- Click Define
- Select Import Type of Employee Information Import
- Select Form Definition (11.3) or Template (2019.1 and higher)
- Import Documentation in Additional Information below which contains information on creating the Form Definitions/Templates as well as processing the imports.
- Select the .CSV or Excel File
- Click Accept
There is no option to import blank fields to remove field values in Employee Master in versions 11.3 and 2019.1. This functionality does not exist until 2021.1
