Grant access to Employee Central

What permissions need to be updated so a user can open Employee Central?

Cause




Resolution

The Role needs Menu Security access to the program, and HR Management/Payroll permissions to view the records

  1. Access Roles (System Administration > Security > Roles)

  2. Select the Menu Security tab

  3. Click Edit

  4. Check Role Access for the following options Human Capital Management > Human Resources > Employee Job/Pay Classification > Employee Central

  5. Select the Module View tab

  6. Click HR Management/Payroll

  7. Under the Data Access section

    1. Set Deduction Type Maintenance access to Full

    2. Set Location Type Maintenance access to Full or Limited

    3. Set Org Maintenance access to Full

    4. Set Pay type maintenance access to Full

  8. Select the Category Access tab

  9. Click Update

  10. Set Employee Master Main access to one of the Update/Delete or Inquiry Only options. Can also grant access to additional categories as needed.



Additional Information

Once the Role has been entered, it may be assigned to users in User Attributes (System Administration > Security > User Attributes)
