Description of Issue

Unable to modify a pay code when navigating to System Admin > Master File Management > Pay Codes



Context

Cause

When a pay code cannot be modified in pay code screen, this generally means the code is configured as a default somewhere in the application. 



Resolution

Common places default pay codes can be stored listed below:

  • System Admin > UI Environment Flags 

    • Default Pay Code for Time Blocks

    • Default Pay Code for Clock In/Out

    • Default Pay Code for Hours Request Screens

    • Default Pay Code for Holiday

    • Default Pay Code for Add New Time Entry

    • Default Pay Code for Timesheet screen

  • System Admin > Security & Permissions > edit Security Role > Other (tab)> Default Clock In/Out Pay Code 

  • System Admin > Master File Management > Employee > edit the user's profile > under the Pay Properties tab > Default Clock In/Out Pay Code
