How to change Maryland Billing Dates

How to change the Bill Date, Due Date, or Interest Date on a bill

Incorrect billing dates were assigned to bills

Cause

Incorrect dates assigned to bills during the Generate Accounts Receivable process



Resolution

Use the Tax Bills program to change either the Bill date, Due date, or Interest date on a Real Estate or Personal Property bill.


For Real Estate, navigate to: Property Tax Billing > South > Maryland > Billing Other Processes > Tax Bills

For Personal Property, navigate to: Property Tax Billing > South > Maryland > Personal Property Processing > Billing Other Processes > Tax Bills

  1. Click Add to create a new Adjustment. Enter the Category, Year, and Bill number. Complete the remaining fields

  2. Click Accept

  3. Click the Bill Header button

  4. Click Update to maintain billing dates

  5. Click Accept and Back when finished

  6. Click the G/L Post button to process the adjustment



Additional Information

Maryland does not offer the ability to Mass Date change a group by bills at once
