Job Class Master Salary table option Grade Only

When updating Job Class Master with the new Min and Max grade for a Pay Band, the Min, Mid and Max rate fields are not updating.

The Salary Table option of G-Grade Only in Job Class Master will not populate the Min Step, Max Step or Min-Max Rate fields when updating the Min and Max Grade fields. 

• The G-Grade Only option allows any grade within the defined Min and Max range to be manually updated in Employee Job/Salary.

• It will not pull step/level information from the Salary Table/Pay Band into Job Class Master. 

• The Min, Mid and Max rate fields are user defined. 

If the Job Class should be looking to either a Min and Max Grade and Step from a Salary Table or Min and Max level on a Pay Band:

1. Go to Job Class Master (Payroll>Payroll Setup>Job Class Master)

2. Search for the Job Class. Click Update. Click the Salary Data tab. 

3. Next to the Salary Data field, select Y-Yes. 

4. Define the applicable Min Grade, Min Step (level for a Pay Band), Max Grade and Max Step (level for a Pay Band)

   1. Click on the ellipsis help button to see the available Grade and Step records. 

5. Click Accept. 

6. Note - Only the most recent effective dated Salary Tables/Pay Bands as of today will pull into the ellipsis options. Future dated tables will not display until today's date is on or after the future effective date.
