Repoint SSRS report to another datasource

Description of Issue

Change SSRS report's datasource

Context
  • Munis all versions

  • Self-hosted, On-Prem clients

  • Tyler-hosted, SaaS clients

  • SSRS reports

Cause

Need to switch the datasource of a SSRS report to another datasource

Resolution
  1. Open SSRS Web Portal and navigate to folder where the report is located

  2. Right click on the report to open context menu.

  3. Select Manage to open Report Properties

  4. In the left menu, select Data sources

  5. By default, A shared data source option is selected

  6. Click on the ellipses menu at the end of the current datasource in next line

  7. In the pop-up window, choose the new datasource

  8. Click Save

The report now uses the new datasource to connect to server and fetch data.
