ESS Address Change Email Notification





Description of Issue
  • What email address does the email notification for address changes in ESS go to

  • What are the To and From email addresses for Address changes submitted in ESS

  • Email Notification is not being received when an address change is submitted in ESS



Context
  • Employee Self Service

  • ESS Hosting



Cause
  • This email is sent From the Default From Address on the ESS Hosting page

  • This email is sent To the Human resources email defined in ESS > Employee Administration > Application Administration



Resolution
  • If this email is not being received at the Human resources email address:

  1. Verify the Human resources email address is a valid and active email address that can send and receive emails on the SMTP server

  2. Check ESS Hosting for the Default From Address, this will also need to be a valid and active email address that is able to send and receive emails on the SMTP server

  3. Use the Test Email functionality on ESS Hosting using the From and To addresses to verify there are no errors
