How can I import deductions into payroll?
Context

- Versions 2018.1+
- Payroll Processing
- Earnings and Deductions
Cause
Client wanted to load a large quantity of deductions records into payroll.
Resolution
- Access Earnings and Deductions: Payroll > Payroll Processing > Earnings and Deductions
- Click Global > Global Access to Deduction Records > click Import in the ribbon
- Select Export Sample and click Accept
- Save this file in the normal Excel format
- Select Custom Templates > click New Template
- Enter the name for the template, enable the settings that File contains headers and Attempt field matching based on headers
- Select the export sample as the upload
- Click Accept after the file has been loaded
- Return to your Export Sample and fill out the deduction information in each row and column as it pertains to each employee
- Return to the Import screen, click Define and select Import, define the import file and select the template that you built then click Accept
