How to create NC Discovery Bills

How do I create discovery bills?

Cause
Resolution
Add a new record
- Navigate to Property Revenues > Property Tax Billing > South > North Carolina > Subsequent Billing and Corrections > Subsequent Billing
- Select Add from the Ribbon
- Select Discovery from the Bill Type drop down
- Provide the AR category, Tax Year, Cycle, and Property
- Set the following fields:
- Update current
- Inactivate current
- Update working
- Add to selective bill print
Adding Values
- Select Values from the Ribbon, then Add from the Values screen
- Populate the Value type, Levy year, Class code, and Value Information, then Accept to save
- Repeat the process to add all values for all years of the discovery bill
Review Charges
- Select Charges from the Ribbon
- Default charges should have been added based on default jurisdiction. Select Add from the Ribbon to add additional charges
Bill Post
- Select Bill Post from the Ribbon to create bills from the selected records
- Once a bill has been bill posted, no further updates will be allowed
GL Post
- Select GL Post from the Ribbon to select and post bills to the General Ledger, and bill post if neededÂ
- Populate the Year, AR category, cycle, bill type, and Ownership fields on the Subsequent Billing - Process Settings screen
- Select all bills to GL post
- Shift + right-click can be used to select individual records from the list
- Ctrl + right-click can be used to select a range of records from the list
- Select Post from the Ribbon once desired records have been selected
- Select Yes to the message Do you wish to generate AR?
- Specify the Effective Date for the GL Journal
- Select Yes to the message Are you sure this GL year / period is correct?
