Open Programs Close Automatically
Why does the Munis program close by itself?

Allowed idle time was exceeded or browser closed program
Two settings in Munis control when open programs close automatically:
Setting 1 at the user level:
System Administration > Security > User Attributes
1. Click Search
2. Enter [user information]
3. Accept
4. Click relevant roleÂ
5. Edit Role (may affect multiple users)
6. Munis System
Make a note of value in Timeout programs after an idle time of in General section. See below if value needs to change at user level
7. Update
8. Click Timeout programs after an idle time of dropdownÂ
9. Select value ranging from Disabled to a 1 week
10. Accept
Setting 2 at the global level:
System Administration > General Administration > System SettingsÂ
1. Click System Settings tab
Make a note of value in Prior to timeout, show a timeout alert for in Idle program settings. See below if value needs to change at global level:

3. Click Prior to timeout, show a timeout alert for dropdownÂ
4. Select value ranging from No alert to 1 week
5. Accept
- Setting 1: If the global settings are changed, and the role’s settings differ from the original global settings, the new global settings affect the role only if they are applied to all users.
- Setting 2: After system settings are established, the program displays a screen confirming the system changes. If you select the Default Users Only option, only those users whose permissions are set to the previous default system setting are affected.
