Would like to know what the Override fields in the Electronic Funds Transfer program do.

Resolution

The value entered in the Immediate destination field will replace positions 4-13 in line 1 of the ACH file. The immediate destination in an ACH file is used to identify the bank that will process the ACH file. 

The value entered in the Immediate origin field will replace positions 14-23 in line 1 of the ACH file. The immediate origin in an ACH file is the routing number of the bank or credit union that sends the file.

The value entered in the Immediate origin name field will replace 64-86 of in line 1 of the ACH file. The immediate origin name in an ACH file is the name of the company or organization that is sending the file.
