Tax Gen AR failing due to unapproved adjustments

• The Generate Accounts Receivable program fails for Real Estate or Personal Property due to unapproved adjustments.
• RE or PP Gen AR is failing because of unapproved adjustments.
• Generate AR failed due to unapproved or unposted adjustments.

Known causes for this issue include: 

• An unposted adjustment exists for one or more of the bills being adjusted by the Gen AR.
• Duplicate bill numbers were assigned to different parcels or properties. When the Gen AR goes to adjust those bills, it successfully creates an adjustment for the first instance of a given bill number, but then errors out adding the adjustment for that bill number on the second property.

1. First, rule out Cause 1 as this is the most common reason for the failure.
   1. To do this, begin by looking for any unposted adjustments: Find Unposted Accounts Receivable Adjustments
   2. If unposted adjustments do exist, refer to the Additional Information in this article for guidance on how to post the unposted adjustments: Master Article - Find Unposted Accounts Receivable Activity and Batches
2. If there are no unposted adjustments, then it is likely that duplicate bill numbers have been assigned to different parcels or properties. Please contact Enterprise ERP Tax Support for assistance. Do not take any further action in the bill run. Duplicating bill numbers should not be allowed by any step in the bill run. The support technician will attempt to locate the duplicates and provide steps for correction.

Payments will create an ACC Adjustment (Accrued Interest). If the payment transaction is not completed, then the ACC will remain at a Life Cycle Step below posted and cause the Gen AR to fail.
