Job Class Master Import to update Long Descriptions

We need to update the Long Descriptions on Job Classes via Import, how do we do that?

• EERP

• Payroll

• Job Class Master

• Import/Export

Informational

First we should gather an export of the Job Class records that need to be altered:

1. Go to Job Class Master (Payroll>Payroll Setup>Job Class Master)

2. Search the Job Class(s) in Question.

3. Click Excel. 

4. Click Select None.

5. Select Job Class and Long Description checkboxes.

6. Click Accept. 

Next we will import the fields to create a template for importing:

1. In Job Class Master, click Import in the toolbar.

2. Click Create Template.

3. Define the Name, delimiter, etc. Click Continue. 

4. Select the following Headers:

   1. Job Class

   2. Long Description

5. Save template.

6. Proceed with Import process. 

• An Action Flag column is not required for this import.

• You will only need to have the new Long Description value present on the import spreadsheet
