Description of Issue

Error Please correct the following and re-upload. File type must be text/csv, application/csv, application/excel, application/vnd.ms-excel, text/comma-separated values. when uploading 1099 e-file generated by Enterprise ERP

Cause

Fire system file will not upload to the IRiS system

Resolution

The current Electronic file is a FIRE file and not IRIS. Please use the IRS Fire system to upload the Electronic File.
