Access to Payroll Data by Department

Description of Issue

How can I access to Employee data within EERP be restricted so a user can only see Employees in one department?

Context

  • Roles

Cause

Can't see Employee information for Employees in a department. 

Resolution

Cannot restrict by Department. To set up restrictions for which Employees a Role is allowed to see in Enterprise ERP, adjust the Location and Org data access on user's Role. 

  1. Navigate to: System Administration>Security>Roles.

  2. Search for Role and click Accept.

  3. Click HR Management/Payroll folder

  4. Under Data Access section, click Yellow folder next to Location maintenance access.

    1. Click Update and adjust as needed.

    2. Click Accept.

    3. Click Back.

  5. Repeat Step 4a-4c for Org maintenance access.
