Adjust Pay Mid-Year Calculation Not Working

Description of Issue

Trying to use the Adjust option when adding a Mid-Year record to Employee Job/Salary but the "Adjust Pays" options is not recalculating the rate for the employee based on the attached calendar.

Cause

Employee Job/Salary record not attached to the correct Calendar. 

Resolution

To add the calendar to Payroll Control Settings:

  1. Navigate to Payroll Control Settings.

    1. Payroll > Payroll Setup > Payroll Control Settings.

  2. Select the setting GENERAL - CURRENT PAYROLL FISCAL YEAR.

  3. Click Accept.

  4. Click Update.

  5. Define the correct Fiscal Year in the Value field.

  6. Click Accept.

To add the calendar to the Position Control:

  1. Navigate to Position Control (Human Resources>Position Control and Budgeting>Position Control).

  2. Click Search and find the Position record.

  3. Navigate to the Salary Data tab.

  4. Select Update and adjust the calendar field to new Fiscal Year.

  5. Select Accept.

To adjust the calendar on the Employee Job/Salary program:

  1. Navigate to Employee Job/Salary (Human Capital Management > Payroll > Employee Maintenance > Employee Job/Salary).

  2. Search for the Employee.

  3. Click Accept

  4. Click Delete on current base pay record to delete the record with the incorrect Fiscal year.

  5. Click Add to re-add the pay record with the correct Fiscal year.

  6. Click Accept. 

  7. When prompted to Adjust pay, click Adjust Pay to add the record with the correct salary based on the calendar attached to the record.
