Limit for Deductions with calc code 18

Where do I enter the limits for cc18 MONTH DISABILITY - ANN SAL/AGE deductions?

Cause

Resolution

Entering a limit for deductions with this calc code, will limit the Employee Insured Amount and/or Employer Insured Amount.  These fields can be viewed on the Insurance tab on the Employee Deductions screen.

To enter the default for the limit amount that will be used when adding new Employee Deduction records,

  1. Open Deduction and Benefit Master (Human Capital Management > Payroll > Payroll Setup > Deduction and Benefit Master)
  2. Search for the deduction
  3. Click Update
  4. Enter the Empe Limit amount and/or Empr Limit amount
  5. Click Accept

There are a few ways to update the limit for the existing Employee Deduction records

One way is to manually update in Employee Deductions.

  1. Open Employee Deductions (Human Capital Management > Payroll > Employee Maintenance > Employee Deductions)
  2. Search for the employee deduction
  3. Click Update
  4. Enter the new Employee Limit and/or Employer Limit amount(s)
  5. Click Accept

Another way , would be to globally update using the Mass Update, and Insurance Update

  1. First, the the Mass Update option in Employee Deductions to update the Employee Limit and/or Employer Limit amounts  How to mass update employee deduction limit. 
  2. Then run the Insurance Update option on the Deduction and Benefit Master screen to recalc the Employee Ins. Amount and/or Employer Ins. Amount.  Update Employee Annual Salary for life insurance deductions
