Importing Budget Detail Overwrites Existing Detail Lines

Why did my budget detail import overwrite existing detail?

• Define/Start Budget Projection
• Next Year Budget Entry
• Central Budget Entry

'Replace existing detail' is checked

To keep existing detail when importing:

Financials > Budget Processing > Define/Start Budget Projection

1. Click Search and enter [projection number] Accept or Import
2. Enter [import information]
3. Click Replace existing detail check box to uncheck (if not already)

• Having 'Replace existing detail' checked will overwrite detail at the account level, irrespective of what level the detail is imported into
• Define/Start Budget Projection > Import File Help – 2019.1
• 'Replace existing detail' option added in Munis 2017.1 and above. In prior versions, detail is always overwritten by import.
