Importing Budget Detail Overwrites Existing Detail Lines
Description of Issue
Why did my budget detail import overwrite existing detail?
Context
- Define/Start Budget Projection
- Next Year Budget Entry
- Central Budget Entry
Cause
'Replace existing detail' is checked
Resolution
To keep existing detail when importing:
Financials > Budget Processing > Define/Start Budget Projection
- Click Search and enter [projection number] Accept or Import
- Enter [import information]
- Click Replace existing detail check box to uncheck (if not already)
Additional Information
- Having 'Replace existing detail' checked will overwrite detail at the account level, irrespective of what level the detail is imported into
- Define/Start Budget Projection > Import File Help – 2019.1
- 'Replace existing detail' option added in Munis 2017.1 and above. In prior versions, detail is always overwritten by import.
