How to prevent deductions from generating into one payroll
Description of Issue
I want to exclude a set of deductions from only pulling into one payroll. I would like them to generate as normal for future payrolls.

Cause
Resolution
How to prevent the deduction from generating into one payroll:
- Access Generate Earnings and Deductions for the payroll you do not want the deductions to pull into: Payroll > Payroll Processing > Payroll Start and Status > Generate Earnings and Deductions
- Click the Exclude Deductions folder
- Click Update, enter the deduction codes you want to exclude the in the available ranges and click Accept
How to prevent the deduction from generating into all future payrolls:
- Access Run Control: Payroll > Payroll Setup > Payroll Control Settings > Click Accept > Click Run Control
- Navigate to the desired run type record and click Generate Defaults
- Click Update > TAB into the Exclude Deductions section
- Enter the deduction code you wish to prevent in the available range
- Click Accept
