Customer Address not updating from DMV Import

Description of Issue
  • Addresses that are being updated by the DMV import are not updating in customers.

  • A new ownership line is being created by the system but the address is not being used as the primary address.

Cause


Resolution

The DMV Import is designed to create a new delivery address on the Customer account based off of the information within the import file, if it does not match to an existing delivery address.  That new delivery address will then get assigned to the Personal Property record and Motor Vehicle record.  This new delivery address will not get automatically set to the primary address on the Customer account, as this is not intended functionality.  End users will need to go to the Customers program to manually update the primary address to this new delivery address.
