There is more than one abatement for a parcel in the import file or the original file errored and was imported again without being changed.Â
By design, the Abatement Import program loads the import file into a temporary table first and checks for any duplicate abatements. If duplicate abatements are found, the file is rejected, no abatements in the file are created, and a Duplicate abatement. error with the offending PARCEL(s) is provided.Â
The temporary table is not cleared until the program is closed. In some cases, the initial load of the file may have errored for a legitimate reason (like a parcel mismatch between the parcel in the file and the parcel listed on the bill in the database). Trying to load the same file will result in a Duplicate abatement. error because the original record that errored is still in the temporary table. Closing the program and re-opening it will refresh the temp table so that the file can be imported again, after which the original legitimate reason for error will be provided.Â
